Greener Living Fund–
lowwintersun was commissioned by URBED Co-op to develop Co-operatives UK's successful DEFRA Greener Living Fund bid. The bid focused on delivering pro-environmental behaviour messaging using co-operative networks. lowwintersun's research looked at worker co-operatives' low carbon projects and analysed success factors, as well as extracting key learning from other mainstream carbon saving projects. Co-operatives UK's £350,000 Greener Together project will be rolled out over the next two years.
Wake Up Saddleworth–
In 2008, lowwintersun was commissioned by GMCVO to deliver an action research project in Saddleworth, Oldham, examining the role of the community and voluntary sector in delivering local area agreement services. Over a three month period, key players within council, regeneration, voluntary support and community sectors were interviewed. A report, 'Wake Up Saddleworth!' summarised key findings, these were then discussed at a round table discussion among a panel of stakeholders. Full documentation here.
